New 'Big Horse' For LIDO PALACE (CHI)

01/25/10 Northview Stallion Station

Amerman Racing Stables’s homebred NEXTDOORNEIGHBOR, making his first start around two turns, blasted home to take a 1 1/16 mi. maiden special weight by four lengths at Santa Anita on Jan. 24. The Mike Machowsky-trained 3-year-old, sent off as the 1.20-1 favorite, trounced a solid field of promising high-priced sophomores that sold for up to $620,000.

A member of LIDO PALACE’s third crop, out of the graded stakes-winning mare FENCELINENEIGHBOR (by Wild Rush), NEXTDOORNEIGHBOR was making his third career start and earned national acclaim with this vicotry by being tabbled a TDN Rising Star.

"It was a very impressive win," said winning trainer Machowsky, who also conditioned NEXTDOORNEIGHBOR's graded stakes-winning dam Fencelineneighbor. "He's a big horse, like she is, and put together very well. He has all the assets she had, and he's always acted like a very talented horse."

The sky’s the limit for eyecatching NEXTDOORNEIGHBOR!
