Lambholm South To Sponsor The $400,000 Holy Bull (G2)

HALLANDALE BEACH, FL - Gulfstream Park announced today it has entered a multi-year partnership establishing Lambholm South as title sponsor of the $400,000 Holy Bull (G2), to be run Saturday, Jan. 24.
            
The Lambholm South Holy Bull is a major prep race on the road to the Triple Crown and for Gulfstream's Besilu Stables Fountain of Youth (G2) and $1 million Besilu Stables Florida Derby (G1).
            
In the first 25 runnings of the Holy Bull, the race has produced numerous graded stakes winners including Florida Derby and Kentucky Derby winner Barbaro, Florida Derby winners Harlan's Holiday, Scat Daddy, Hal's Hope and High Fly, Kentucky Derby winner Go for Gin, Belmont Stakes (G1) winner Editor's Note, Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) winner Mucho Macho Man, and Grade I winners Itsmyluckyday, Wicked Strong and Jackson Bend.
            
For more than four decades, the present Lambholm South was the legendary Hobeau Farm founded by sportsman and financier Jack Dreyfus. In continuing the tradition of greatness established by Mr. Dreyfus, Roy S. Lerman was honored to be able to carry on his legacy.

The Lambholm South Holy Bull will be one of five stakes races run on Saturday, Jan. 24. The Lambholm South Holy Bull will highlight an afternoon that includes the $200,000 Forward Gal (G2), $150,000 Hutcheson (G3), $100,000 Sweetest Chant and $100,000 Kitten's Joy.
