Tie Run

Four years ago, the farm received an email about a 27 year old mare that was one of the first foals that Roy had ever bred, that needed a home. Roy did not hesitate to say yes, and thanks to a complimentary van ride from Creech Horse Transportation, Tie Run came home to Lambholm. For the past several years Tie had been the eyes for her pasture mate Captivating Grace. Grace was the dam of multiple stakes winner Gangsta Rap and had lost her vision. We put a bell on Tie so Grace could find her if she ever lost her way. Unfortunately on September 14, 2014, Grace passed away at the ripe old age of 34. Tie handled the passing of her friend fairly well and now she spends her days with another of our pensioned mares, Ten Downing Street. When you look at Tie, you would never guess she was 31 years old. Just ask the person who was trying to take her picture. She's very spry for her age!
